SIFS India is conducting a two days workshop at the Department of Forensic Science, School of Science, Sandip University, Nashik, focusing on Questioned Documents, Fingerprint Examination, and Crime Scene Investigation. In this workshop, students will acquire knowledge about Document Authenticity, Signature Examination, and how to handle forgery cases. They will also learn how to analyse secret writings and torn documents. They will get hands on experience in recording fingerprints, identifying fingerprint patterns, and analysing ridge characteristics for Fingerprint Examination. They will also learn how to development latent prints which are the most commonly found prints at a crime scene. Other than this, one of the most exciting aspects of forensic science ,i.e, the Crime Scene Investigation, will also be covered. Students will learn about the responsibilities of forensic scientists at crime scenes, the protocols followed during crime scene investigation process, how to create mock crime scenes, and the proper methods of collecting, preserving, and packaging of different types of evidence found at a crime scene. This workshop will cover these three intriguing and fascinating fields of Forensic Science.
