Matthew Vennemeyer
Forensic anthropologist and
archaeologist with background and experience primarily for human
identification, missing persons, human rights and humanitarian forensics. Prior
to the ICRC, he had worked in the United States, Western Balkans, and Iraq for
several governmental and non-governmental organizations for the search,
recovery, and identification of human remains.
For the last 7 years, he has been working for the International
Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)as a Forensic Coordinator or Adviser in Western
Balkans, South Caucasus, Central Asia, and North Africa. He is now based in
ICRC Headquarters in Geneva.
