Dr. Priyanka Kacker
Dr. Priyanka Kacker is a Senior Assistant Professor at the School of
Behavioral Science of National Forensic Sciences University (previously known
as GFSU), Gandhinagar, since 2013. She is teaching and carrying out research in
Neuropsychology and Forensic Psychology. Currently her ongoing ICSSR funded
research project is on “Developing a Neuro Signature System Based Profile of
Victims of Domestic Violence”. Before joining GFSU, she was
Lecturer (4 years) in The Department of Psychology, The M.S. University of
Baroda, Gujarat. She is a trained hypnotherapist. Also, she is trained in
cognitive electrophysiology and cognitive neuropsychology and is engaged in
computerized EEG/ ERP analysis, especially in the use of Brain Electrical
Oscillations Signature (BEOS) profiling for the purposes of forensic, neuro and
clinical studies. She has also been engaged in computerized cognitive
retraining of children and others, who need cognitive and behavioural
rehabilitation, especially children with juvenile problems. Micro-expressions
link to deception and early detection, intervention and rehabilitation of
Juveniles and Dementia are also part of ongoing studies and research interests.
She has 83 research and other presentations in national and international
conferences, and 70 research publications in the above areas. She is also an
Associate Chief-Editor of newly launched Journal - GAP Indian Journal of
Forensics and Behavioural Sciences. She also imparts training to Police Personnel, Judges,
Advocates, Scientific Officers of National and International
Departments/Laboratories/Institutes in Forensic and Neuropsychology at the
Gujarat Forensic Sciences University. She handled “Anti-Corruption Cases
interrogation at IBS, GFSU and is a Govt. of India Registered Counsellor”.
