Dr. Orli Grinstein-Cohen
Dr. Orli Grinstein-Cohen is a lecturer in the Department of Nursing at BGU’s Leon and Mathilde Recanati School for Community Health Professions and a registered nurse at the Soroka University Medical Center’s Orthopedic Department. She is an expert in orthopedic and emergency nursing. She has completed her RN degree at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and she earned her master’s degree at BGU’s Department of Industrial Engineering and Management and a Ph.D. in the Department of Epidemiology. She completed her post-doctoral studies at the Myers-JDC-Brookdale Institute Smokler Center for Health Policy Research in Jerusalem. In addition to her many years of teaching at BGU, she has lectured on orthopedic nursing, pain management, and triage at Tel Aviv University, the Ichilov Medical Center, and the Rambam Medical Center in Israel; at University Hospital in Montevideo, Uruguay; and at many international scientific and medical conferences. She has received several research grants that address orthopedic surgical techniques. A member of the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses and the International Association of Forensic Nurses, She has been working to advance the study of forensic nursing in the criminal justice system.
