Dr. Elif Günҫe Eskiköy
Dr. Elif Günҫe Eskiköy has completed her PhD in Forensic Sciences from Istanbul University in Turkey and she has done her Post-graduate degree in dentistry from Marmara
University. She has over 20 years of experience in Forensic Identification and Emergency & Mass Fatality Response Management. Before joining the ICRC in December 2017, she worked as an
Adjunct Professor at Western University and at McMaster University in Ontario,
Canada. She has also worked as Regional Forensic Coordinator for the ICRC in Manila in 2018, covering
the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and
the Pacific Islands. She was the coordinator for ICRC’s forensic programs in Nigeria, from
February 2019 to February 2020. Currently she is overseeing the forensic programs and
activities of the ICRC Delhi Regional Delegation covering India, Nepal, Bhutan
and the Maldives, and act as Head of the International Centre for Humanitarian
Forensics at the National Forensic Science University for the ICRC.
