Professor K Jaishankar
Prof. Jaishankar is presently the Founder Principal Director and Professor of Criminology and Crime Sciences of the International Institute of Crime and Security Sciences (IICSS) (a Not-for-Profit Academic Institution & Independent Think Tank) headquartered at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He was formerly the Professor and Head, the Department of Criminology, at Raksha Shakti University (Now Rashtriya Raksha University), Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Earlier, he was a Senior Assistant Professor at the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, India. He was a Commonwealth Academic Fellow (2009-2010) at the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies, School of Law, University of Leeds, UK and the Founding Father of "CYBER CRIMINOLOGY"© (2007), an academic sub-discipline of Criminology & "CYBER VICTIMOLOGY"© (2015). He is the Founding President of the South Asian Society of Criminology & Victimology (2009) & Founding Executive Director of the Centre for Cyber Victim Counselling (2009). He was the FIRST Winner of the “National Academy of Sciences India (NASI) Scopus Young Scientist Award 2012 – Social Sciences”. I am an International Ambassador of the British Society of Criminology (BSC) and United Nations Expert on Victims of Terrorism. His specialities include of Theoretical & Applied Criminology, Crime Science, Justice Studies, Cyber Criminology, Victimology, Crime Mapping, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Crime Analytics, Crime Prevention & Policing.
